ACMobility and Shell partner to further expand the PH EV charging network

With Shell Recharge stations now visible and accessible within the Evro app, Shell Pilipinas is now partnering with ACMobility to further expand the EV charging infrastructure within the Philippines by planning to install new charging points within Shell service stations nationwide.

The two companies want to strengthen further the country’s first nationwide EV charging backbone called the Philippine EV Spine, which is a network that is designed to help support seamless, trouble-free long-distance EV travel across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Leveraging Shell’s network of service stations nationwide, the initial rollout of new ACMobility charging stations will begin at 50 Shell stations nationwide, with over 100 charging points to be installed.

The first 20 sites will begin installation in the last quarter of 2025, at select Shell stations across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. The following 30 will follow in 2026, with each station being equipped with DC fast chargers with speeds ranging from 60 to 120kW.

Like other ACMobility chargers and Shell Recharge stations, these will be able to be seen and operated from the Evro app, simplifying the task of identifying if these are free or occupied, plus payments and discounts.

Shell is one of the most trusted service providers for motorists, with sites in key areas nationwide. ACMobility is pleased to welcome Shell as a partner in delivering the Philippine EV Spine Network,” said Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility. “Beyond expanding infrastructure, this collaboration supports the growing EV community and strengthens the country’s transition to sustainable mobility.
