Toyota and Lexus PH announce a recall for 11,751 vehicles

With the holidays drawing to a close and establishments reopening, now might be the perfect time to act on Toyota Motor Philippines’ latest vehicle recall, which involves the Parking Assist ECU across multiple higher-end Toyota and Lexus models.
Covering 8,493 Toyota and 3,258 Lexus vehicles, this service campaign addresses the Parking Assist ECU, which is part of the Panoramic View Monitor system (360-degree camera in Toyota-speak), which may cause the rear view image to sometimes freeze briefly if the reverse gear is selected shortly after the ignition is turned on, or it may fail to display after a quick reboot of the vehicle. This may increase the risk of an accident while reversing.

- RAV4 – 1,353 units – November 2, 2022 to July 21, 2025
- Alphard – 2,689 units – June 12, 2023, to May 12, 2025

Lexus
- ES – 74 units – November 23, 2022, to May 29, 2025
- GX – 68 units – February 19, 2024, to May 30, 2025
- LC – 13 units – May 23, 2023, to September 20, 2024
- LM – 1,181 units – July 25, 2023, to August 1, 2025
- LS – 110 units – October 27, 2022, to August 1, 2025
- LX – 169 units – December 13, 2021, to July 15, 2025
- NX – 213 units – November 15, 2021, May 9, 2025
- RX – 1,237 units – January 17, 2023, to September 2, 2025
- RZ – 193 units – February 20, 2023, to February 23, 2024
Affected customers will receive an official notification letter and be invited by authorized Toyota and Lexus dealerships to reprogram the affected part at no charge. You may also check if your vehicle is included in any service campaign via this website.
