We’ll soon be seeing more of Honda’s new ‘H mark’ logo

You’ve probably already seen Honda’s new logo, revealed during the 2024 edition of the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Initially to be exclusive for their battery electric vehicle (BEV) models, there’s a new development.
The Japanese automaker announced today that it will be expanding the use of the new ‘H mark,’ not only to their BEVs as initially announced, but also to their hybrid electric (HEV) products, starting in 2027.
The new H mark is inspired by the original H mark which dates back to 1963, revived and modernized for its initial application in the Honda 0 Series. It’s supposedly inspired by two outstretched hands that represent the commitment of Honda “to augment the possibilities of mobility and sincerely serve the needs of the customers of Honda automobile business.”
Honda also says that it will be making use of the new H mark to represent other customer touchpoints such as dealerships, communications, and even motorsports.
It will also represent the company’s “second founding” as it goes through the market’s current major transformation with electrification and application of intelligent tech, while offering new value with cutting-edge technology and ideas.
