Deepal to be officially distributed in PH by Autohub Group

The Autohub Group now has another feather in its cap, as it was recently appointed as the official distributor of Deepal vehicles in the Philippines.

For those unaware of the brand, Deepal is a premium arm of Changan, focused on battery electric vehicles and range-extended battery electric vehicles with a good amount of tech and self-driving capabilities (at least in China).

The Autohub Group currently handles the distribution of brands such as Zeekr, Mini, Lotus, Triumph, Vespa, Aprilia, and Segway. They also handle multiple dealerships of other brands around the country as well.

Changan is being distributed by Inchcape Philippines, and originally, Deepal was supposed to be part of its lineup as it was announced back in 2023 during the brand re-launch, but it seems that plans have changed since then.

A couple of their vehicles that we saw in Chongqing, China, last year were pegged to make their way to our country, which include the Deepal S05, the S07, the S09, and the G318.

The S05 is an entry-level compact crossover meant for those who want to get into the brand. Then, the S07 is a more premium crossover, followed by the S09, which is a full-size luxury SUV with lots of amenities inside. The G318, on the other hand, is a rugged 4×4 SUV meant for going off-road. All of these vehicles are available either in a range-extended or a pure battery electric form, except the G318, which is solely available in a range-extended powertrain.

We don’t know what the automaker will initially offer, so all we can do is wait and see what they decide to bring in.
