Tesla issues service bulletins for Model Y suspension creaks

The latest Tesla Model Y is all well and good, it is after all a very popular EV around the world. But it’s not free from issues as many owners have complained about creaking and rattling suspensions, especially when going over uneven road surfaces or when driving at lower speeds.
Tesla has responded and has released two service bulletins that aim to address the issue—SB-25-31-005, and for already repaired vehicles, SB-26-31-003 from last May 8, 2026. Also, this only applies to Tesla Model Y units that were built in the Fremont and Giga Texas factories.
The first service bulletin recommends the replacement of the front upper control arm (FUCA) and front damper assemblies, along with the removal of the wiper bracket pencil braces. This job is estimated to take about an hour and a half.
For vehicles that already have this done but still experience the same issues, the second bulletin recommends updating the front damper assemblies. As for this job, it’s expected to take a bit longer at three and a half hours.
We’ve already reached out to Tesla Philippines on whether local units which are all sourced from the Tesla Gigafactory in Shanghai, China are also affected. There is still no news whether an official service bulletin for our market will be released, but they recommend scheduling an appointment with their service center to have this checked.
