Kia Sonet hits 10,000 sales locally, alongside Kia Sonet Pilipinas Club’s 2nd year

The humble little Kia Sonet is a force to be reckoned with in the Philippines’ subcompact crossover segment, being one of the crowd favorites in its class and being Kia Philippines’ strongest seller since its introduction back in 2024.
In fact, there’s a strong community around the model in the Kia Sonet Pilipinas club, which celebrated its second anniversary. And there is more to celebrate as well, as the Sonet has surpassed its 10,000 units sold since the model’s debut, so Kia Philippines and the Kia Sonet Pilipinas Club partnered to make a joint celebration for the model.

This involved a weekend event with a synchronized convoy and multiple interactive sessions through Tanay, Rizal, last June 28 that featured over 80 Kia Sonets.
Participants included current owners to new owners, covering all variants and forms of customization, including the LX, the SX, and K-Style variants. In fact, the convoy tackled both asphalt and dirt roads, something the crossover could easily handle with its generous ground clearance and compact size.

“The rapid growth of the Kia Sonet Pilipinas Club over the past year is a phenomenal reflection of the vehicle’s sustained momentum in the market,” said Managing Director of Kia Philippines Jay Lopez. “This milestone is an achievement we share entirely with our proud owners. As the Kia Sonet becomes a staple on local roads, it is this passionate, ever-expanding community that truly brings our vision of mobility to life.“
Kia Philippines’ momentum is strong, and even if it’s going all-in with its current and soon-to-be-introduced electrified models, the little crossover shows that Filipinos still have a lot of interest in practical ICE models such as the Sonet.
