XPeng is coming to the Philippines through direct subsidiary in Q3 2026

As if the market wasn’t saturated enough with Chinese brands, XPeng will be arriving in the Philippine market in the third quarter of 2026, and the brand will introduce two EV models as part of its initial lineup.
More importantly, XPeng Philippines will be a direct subsidiary of XPeng China, making them the latest automaker from the China to enter the country directly, following the likes of SAIC Motor Philippines (MG), BYD Philippines (Denza), Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines, and Geely Motor Philippines.

This Chinese automaker comes from Guangzhou, and was established back in 2014, making it a fairly young company. It prides itself on its in-house advanced driver assistance systems, operating systems, and vehicle technologies.
It is most famously known for its involvement in aerospace with its eVTOL aircraft, its humanoid robot called Iron, and the Turing AI chip, apart from making vehicles. It also has a been in a partnership with Volkswagen since 2023 to jointly develop vehicles and share software.

In a teaser photo, it shows the Mona L03 and the X9. The Mona L03 is a crossover that’s set to compete against the likes of the Tesla Model Y, and comes in either a range-extender EV or battery electric version that can drive up to 625km on a single charge.

As for the X9, it’s the flagship MPV from the brand, but is a three-row MPV with luxury features. Like the Mona L03, is either a range-extender EV or a battery electric vehicle with up to 702km of range on a single charge from up to a 101.5kWh battery.

Globally, the G6 and G9 crossovers are sold globally and received quite well, alongside Chinese-exclusive electric sedans like the affordable Mona and P7 which vary in sizes and lean either on sporty, affordable, or the executive segments.
More information will be shared towards the brand’s official launch. Are you excited to see the arrival of yet another Chinese brand that could shape up to be a premium segment competitor?
