BMW PH adds X3 30e xDrive xLine PHEV to its electrified lineup
BMW Philippines has been going on an aggressive electrification offensive recently, by offering both plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicle models across its entire lineup. The G45 X3 is considered to be one of the brand’s more popular offerings, with a plug-in hybrid M Sport model being introduced last year.
For those who prefer a more discreet and subdued version, BMW Philippines has introduced the X3 30e xDrive xLine PHEV, which starts at an introductory retail price of Php 4.498-million, with its actual SRP being at Php 4.698-million.
Compared to its sportier sibling, this is a more luxurious, modest approach to the X3. It features the xLine exterior design package, featuring an illuminated BMW Kidney Grille, satin-finished aluminum accents, 19-inch aerodynamic wheels, and adaptive LED headlights.
The cabin is upholstered in dark brown Veganza leather, with dark graphite interior trim, alongside electronically adjustable seats with memory. There’s the BMW Curved Display that also features two large screens (12.3-inch digital instrument and 14.9-inch infotainment), and a heads-up display, the Live Cockpit Professional suite of tech with ConnectedDrive services, a Harman Kardon Surround sound system, a wireless charger, and tri-zone climate control.
It’s powered by the same 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission, and an electric motor, capable of 299 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. It has the same 6.2 second 0-100kph sprint time, and it can drive up to 90km on pure electric range from its 19.7kWh lithium-ion battery.
This also packs a suite of advanced driver assistance systems, such as adaptive cruise control, the Driving Assistant Plus suite (blind-spot monitoring, lane keep assist, forward collision mitigation, etc.), and the Parking Assistant Plus with a 360-degree camera.
It’s available at all BMW dealerships nationwide, and comes with a portable charger, a five-year or 200,000 km (whichever comes first) comprehensive BMW warranty for the car, and an eight-year or 120,000 km warranty for the electric battery.
Would you get this new addition to the X3 model range over its more sportier X3 30e xDrive M Sport PHEV, which retails for Php 400,000 less than the M Sport’s SRP of Php 4.898-million?
