PH automotive sales at 204K as of 1H 2026, electrified segments up by 132%

The numbers for local automotive sales for the first half of 2026 are out with the latest sales report from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. (TMA).

All-in-all, the local automotive industry saw a total of 204,557 vehicles sold from January to June 2026. This reflects a 11.4% decrease compared to the same period last year where 230,912 vehicles were recorded sold. Despite that, the month of June saw the highest vehicle sales this year at 37,231 units from CAMPI-TMA members.

Overall, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) still tops local sales charts for the first half of the year with 100,909 units sold, equivalent to a 49.33% market share. Remaining at second as well is Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) with 36,321 vehicles sold. Third is Suzuki Philippines Inc. (SPH) with 9,262 vehicles sold, followed by Ford Philippines in fourth with 7,435 vehicles sold, and Nissan Philippines in fifth with 6,921 vehicles sold.

Electrified vehicle sales continue to grow with hybrid electric (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales amounting to 28% of vehicles sold in June 2026. For the entire first half of the year, 31,381 electrified vehicles found homes in the country.

For HEV sales, Toyota Motor Philippines leads with 11,129 HEVs sold, followed by Ford Philippines in second with 2,760 HEVs sold, and Honda Cars Philippines in third with 897 HEVs sold. As for PHEVs, Jetour Auto Philippines is ranked first with 1,891 PHEVs sold, followed by Geely Motor Philippines in second with 1,270 PHEVs sold, and Chery Auto Philippines in third with 737 PHEVs sold.

In BEV sales, VinFast Auto Philippines’ boastfulness is paying off as it ranks first for the first half of the year with 3,142 BEVs sold, followed by Tesla Motors Philippines in second with 2,374 BEVs sold, and Omoda & Jaecoo Motor Philippines in third with 1,484 BEVs sold.
