Initial specs and price of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV leaked; could be priced lower than before

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines previewed its upcoming Outlander PHEV at the recent Philippine International Motor Show last June, and with the launch coming up soon, there seem to be a handful of excited sales agents who have prematurely disclosed a handful of details and its suggested retail price in a bid to get reservations.

To kick it off, the full model name is the Outlander PHEV GT 2.4G AWD, and it’s priced at Php 2.848 million. It pretty much confirms that it will be using the 2.4-liter gasoline engine (4B12) and dual electric motors, with a combined power output of 302 horsepower and 450Nm.

It also comes with Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive, and the 22.7kWh lithium-ion battery can give a pure-electric driving range of up to 87km and a combined gasoline-and-electricity range of up to 800+km. AC charging speeds are up to 6.6kW and will take around 3.5 hours.

Other confirmed aspects include 20-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, the seven-seater leather interior, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity from the infotainment, plus the Diamond Sense Safety Suite of advanced driver assistance systems.

From what was shown off at the Philippine International Motor Show, it will have dual 12.3-inch screens, a Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system, light gray upholstery, and many more features that may or may not make it to final retail units.
