GWM PH records another sales milestone with 232 units sold in August 2026

While the GWM brand may seem to be sitting in the shadows of other popular Chinese automakers like BYD, Geely, and MG, among others, it continues to record largely consistent growth in sales.

For the month of August 2026, GWM Philippines was able to sell a total of 232 units in our market, marking the brand’s highest monthly sales figure, and also double the brand’s previous monthly sales record of 112 units in June 2026.

GWM Philippines attributes this growth to the GWM Haval H7. This crossover, available in either hybrid electric (HEV) or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) configurations, was launched locally in June, and is proving to be popular for the brand.

August’s numbers are the clearest signal yet that Filipino motorists are ready for what the Haval H7 offers,” said GWM Philippines Brand Head Dax Avenido. “Since launch, we’ve seen this vehicle resonate the way we hoped it would – a genuinely capable, well-priced SUV that doesn’t ask buyers to choose between efficiency and performance. Doubling our own sales record in just two months tells us this demand is real, and we’re building our operations to sustain it through the rest of the year.”

Based on the July 2026 sales report of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), GWM Philippines’ sales was at 342 units. With the company-announced August 2026 sales figure, the number is now at 574 units. CAMPI has not released its August 2026 sales report yet as of this writing.
