How much will Skyway Stage 3 Toll Fees Cost?

The recent news of the start of toll fee collection along the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 3 has drawn some flak from several netizens. We’re not surprised though as several if not most of the elevated expressway remains unfinished, even lacking an important safety feature that should have been there since day one, center concrete dividers.

Toll fees will be collected from all vehicles passing through Skyway Stage 3 starting on July 12, less than a week from now. So how much will the damage to the users be exactly?

For Class 1 vehicles, those who will be driving the whole length of the 18.83 km Skyway Stage 3 from Buendia in Makati to Balintawak in Quezon City or vice-versa will need to shell-out Php 264.

For other exits, see the matrix below:

For Class 2 and 3 vehicles, just multiply the toll rates by 2 and 3 respectively.

According to San Miguel Corporation (SMC), the toll-rates are now cheaper than those previously announced a few months ago.

Despite that, some rates still seem to be quite exorbitant as for example, driving from Buendia Northbound Entry in Makati to Quirino Exit in Paco, Manila will cost you Php 105. That’s a distance of roughly just 1.7 km. For comparison, driving from Balintawak in Quezon City to Marilao in Bulacan will cost you Php 60 for roughly 15.5 km.

What do you think of these toll rates? Are you willing to shell-out that much to skip Metro Manila’s traffic? We hope these toll fees will also mean that the Skyway Stage 3 will finally be completed especially when it comes to road safety features.
