Changan’s high-end luxury brand, Avatr, to enter PH under Autowise Ventures

Changan Auto and its multiple sub-brands are aggressively making their way into our country, as we found out last September 2025 when we visited Chongqing, China, which is where Changan is from.
From the main brand’s revitalization under Inchcape, to Deepal, its higher-end battery-electric and range-extended powertrain focused brand, which made its official debut earlier this year under the Autohub Group.
We’re now completing the trifecta with Avatr, Changan’s luxury arm that features extremely high-end tech and luxuries paired to its battery electric or range-extended powertrains, and it’ll be distributed by Autowise Ventures Inc. (or the Auto iCON Group).
Avatr Philippines is slated to bring in three different models within the year, with two full-service 3S dealerships (sales, service, spare parts) located in Alabang and Bonifacio Global City.

The automaker’s initial lineup will comprise the Avatr 11, a midsize luxury crossover that will utilize a fully electric, dual-motor powertrain that produces up to 578 horsepower capable of a 0-100kph time of around 3.9 seconds. In China, it’s mated up to a 116.79kWh battery that’s capable of driving up to 815km (CLTC) on a single charge.

Inside, it has tech such as dual displays (10.25-inch and 15.6-inch) running the Huawei HarmonyOS system, a luxurious interior with Nappa leather and an optional 25-speaker Meridian sound system, and an multiple LiDAR sensors for the Huawei ADAS system that also allows for autonomous driving and parking, at least in China.

The flagship Avatr 12 luxury sedan will also follow. While there are no confirmed specifications yet, it’s available as an EV with a single or dual-motor powertrain mated up to a 94.53kWh battery that can drive up to 755km (CLTC), or a range-extended variant with a that can drive up to 1,155km (CLTC) combined, or up to 245km (CLTC) on pure electric power.

This has the best tech inside, complete with a corner-to-corner 35.4-inch 4K panoramic screen, a 15.6-inch infotainment screen both running the Huawei HarmonyOS complete with the Huawei ADAS system, a 25-speaker Meridian sound system, Nappa leather and wood trimming, zero-gravity front and rear seats with massaging and climate controls, and a drop-down 16-inch rear screen.

Following later this year will be the Avatr 07, which will be offered in both EV and range-extended powertrains. The former features a 82.16kWh battery, with a single rear-mounted electric motor capable of 314 horsepower and 367Nm of torque, while the latter has a large 52.01kWh battery mated to a 1.5-liter gas engine, capable of up to 333km (CLTC) of pure electric range, or up to 1,200km (CLTC) of combined range.

This also has a similar layout and tech as the Avatr 12, with a 35.4-inch panoramic screen, a 15.6-inch screen, 25-speaker Meridian sound system, and a whole bunch of Nappa leather, Huawei HarmonyOS, and the Huawei ADAS system.
More details of the brand’s official lineup and launch will be shared eventually, so stay tuned. Would you buy the new wave of luxury brands from Chinese automakers, such as Denza and Avatr?
