Chery Auto PH announces upcoming launch of new Tiggo 2 Pro
Chery Auto Philippines is set to introduce another crossover in its lineup in the form of the Tiggo 2 Pro subcompact crossover. Essentially a refreshed version of the Tiggo 2 which has been offered locally since the brand was reintroduced in the country in 2019.
The brand has confirmed the Tiggo 2 Pro’s launch via its official Facebook page. The 2022 Chery Tiggo 2 Pro is set to be launched on November 26, 2021, at 6:00 PM via Facebook Live.
So what can we expect from the Chery Tiggo 2 Pro? First is the heavily revised front styling where it gains a new front fascia, now wearing the brand’s latest design language, first seen on the larger Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. The rest of the exterior is expected to remain pretty much the same with minor differences such as smoked taillights if based on the overseas model. Inside, expect to see slight revisions such as a more geometric dashboard design with new steering wheel, infotainment system, and gauge cluster.
Engine specifications have not yet been confirmed but the overseas version has options for a naturally aspirated 1.5 L engine or a 1.0 L turbocharged petrol engine. The former should make the same 105 hp and 135 Nm of torque. The latter meanwhile should produce 101 hp and 150 Nm if offered here.
Pricing is also unknown at this point but given that the top-spec 2021 Chery Tiggo 2 1.5 A/T Two-Tone is priced at Php 785,000, expect the Tiggo 2 Pro to be priced around or above Php 800,000. Again, the launch will be happening on November 26, 2021, live at 6:00 PM on Chery Auto Philippines’ official Facebook page.
