Chery Auto PH adds new limited and better equipped Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV EX to lineup

Chery Auto Philippines continues to put its game on in electrifying its lineup, this time with the addition of a new and better-equipped variant of its flagship Tiggo 8 Pro, specifically its plug-in hybrid variant.
Available in limited quantity, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV now comes in EX form, with some additional tech and safety features that can be found in the more affordable 1.6 Turbo and 2.0 Turbo AWD variants.
So what exactly comes with the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV EX? First, it now comes with a full suite of advanced driver-assistance or ADAS safety tech. These are Rear Cross-Traffic Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Door Opening Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Integrated Cruise Assist, Intelligent High-Beam Control, Lane Departure Warning, and Traffic Sign Recognition.
Other new features are made for comfort and convenience. These are ventilated front seats, a power tailgate, intelligent voice assistant, and a wireless phone charger.
Under the hood of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV EX is still a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired to two electric motors, one at the front and one at the rear. These produce a whopping combined output of 320 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque. A ternary lithium battery with an output of 19.27 kWh also enables the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV to have an all electric range of 95 kilometers.
As for pricing, the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV EX can be had for Php 2,698,000. And for the number of units available locally, we don’t have the exact numbers yet. We did ask our contacts from Chery Auto Philippines and we’ll update this article once they respond.
