It is Toyota Motor Philippines’ first digital launch.

Toyota Motor Philippines has just launched the 2020 Wigo with some minor changes to the exterior and interior. It is the company’s smallest hatchback currently available in our market.

The update is mostly minor tweaks to the previous major facelift in 2017. In front, the 2020 Wigo gets a more angular-looking bumper with new fog light housings. On the side, visible are a new pair of power-folding side mirrors and a new set of alloy wheels. At the back, it gets an updated set of LED taillights with clear lenses.

The 2020 Wigo also now gets a TRD package option dubbed as the TRD S variant. This new variant, based on the G variant, gets bumper extensions, side skirts, and a rear spoiler.

Changes to the interior are minor. First, push button start and steering wheel controls are now available. The climate control dials have also been replaced with new digital controls with buttons. The TRD S variant also gets a new infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Power windows, door locks, and a new instrument cluster are also now standard on all variants.

Under the hood, it is still powered by the same 1.0-liter Inline-3 gasoline engine. Output remains the same at 66 hp and 89 Nm of torque, paired to either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic.

The 2020 Toyota Wigo’s pricing starts at Php 568,000 for the 1.0 E M/T, Php 623,000 for the 1.0 G M/T, Php 658,009 1.0 G A/T, and tops out at Php 700,000.
