Hyundai Ioniq 5 pricing and warranty for PH revealed

2 min read

It is with no doubt that the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is one of the most-awaited models to be added to the local lineup of the Korean automaker despite the lack of much-need infrastructure for electric vehicles.

Already previewed at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) and 10th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit, Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc. (HMPH) announced pricing, variants, and warranties for their upcoming fully-electric vehicle offering at a gathering for motoring media and content creators yesterday.

First things first, what are the variants and their corresponding prices? HMPH will be offering two variants of a single GLS grade for the Hyundai Ioniq 5. First is the GLS 2WD S or Standard Range variant which will be priced at Php 3,068,000. The other option is the GLS 2WD L or Long Range variant which will be priced at Php 3,698,000. These prices put it in line with other full EV competitors such as the Nissan LEAF.

Four exterior color options will be available for the Hyundai Ioniq 5 once it’s launched in the country. These options are Phantom Black Pearl, Cyber Gray Metallic, Atlas White, and Gravity Gold Matte. In addition, a free home wallbox charger also comes with every Hyundai Ioniq 5 purchase.

As for the warranties, customers who purchase a Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be able to take advantage of a 5-year or 200,000 km vehicle warranty, and an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty. Customers will also be able to take advantage of a 5-year or up to 75,000 km free preventive maintenance service package.

While nothing else has been confirmed yet, we won’t have to wait that much longer as HMPH has already confirmed that the Hyundai Ioniq 5 will see its Philippine launch in January 2023. Definitely exciting!
