Hyundai Motor PH refreshes the Ioniq 5, starting at Php 2.840-million

The third and final car to be launched by Hyundai Motor Philippines on July 23, 2025, is something we’ve actually seen before. It’s the updated Hyundai Ioniq 5, which was accidentally leaked by an excited sales agent last January.

The updated Ioniq 5 debuted last year, back in March, and offered many refinements over the introductory model.

The vehicle receives updated front and rear bumpers, a simpler 20-inch alloy wheel design, an extended rear spoiler, and a rear windshield wiper that all add up to improve the vehicle’s aerodynamics. And for the Philippine market, the biggest change is the addition of digital side mirrors, which further streamlines the vehicle’s profile.

The Ioniq 5 comes in nine different colors, which are Abyss Black Pearl, Cyber Gray Metallic, Ecotronic Gray Pearl, Ecotronic Gray Matte, Atlas White, Atlas White Matte, Gravity Gold Matte, Lucid Blue Pearl, and Digital Teal-Green Pearl.

The interior also gets revamped, with a new three-spoke steering wheel, a traditional glove box, and an updated movable center console with new physical buttons meant for frequently used functions. Plus, the Hyundai SmartSense ADAS system also gets enhanced with Reverse Parking Collision Avoidance assistance and Side Parking Distance Warning.

The interior is available in four different colors, namely Obsidian Black, Heritage Brown, Dark Pebble Gray, and Mud Gray.

The vehicle’s performance and range have been enhanced, too, with a power output of up to 229 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. Battery sizes go all the way up to 84kWh (for the GLS 2WD Long Range), and range is now up to 530km on a single charge, plus the inclusion of Vehicle-to-Load functionality, especially for the interior.

The Ioniq 5 comes in three variants: the GL 2WD Standard Range (Php 2,840,000), the GLS 2WD Standard Range (Php 3,068,000), and the GLS 2WD Long Range (Php 3,698,000). Interestingly, the Ioniq 5 is also made-to-order, with up to 36 possible color combinations for the interior and exterior.
