Toyota Motor PH donates 35 vehicles to PH government in celebration of 35th anniversary

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) several fun and action-packed activities, various car launches, and other events in celebration of its 35th anniversary in the Philippine market this year. The company did more than those.

During a visit by Philippine President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to the Japanese automaker’s local manufacturing plant in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, also held was the turnover of 35 donated brand new vehicles to the Office of the President.

The country’s chief executive visited the automotive manufacturing plant of TMP and the manual transmission plant of Toyota Aisin Philippines (TAP) inside the Toyota Special Economic Zone in Laguna province. The President was welcomed by Japan’s Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Chairman Akio Toyoda and TMP’s local officials led by Chairman Alfred V. Ty.

We are honored to have President Marcos visit the Toyota Santa Rosa Plant today. We sincerely appreciate this visit,” said TMP Chairman Alfred V. Ty.

From a modest start-up of about 20 people in 1988, we have grown into a major hub for Toyota, with a cumulative group investment of 73.7 billion pesos, payment of 448 billion pesos in duties and taxes, and exports of automotive parts and components worth US$18.76 billion. We have grown into a major base for Toyota.”

TMC Chairman Akio Toyoda turned-over to the president the keys to 35 brand-new vehicles consisting of 10 units of Toyota Hiace ambulances, 5 units each of Toyota Lite Ace Pickup and Cargo versions, Toyota Innova, Toyota Vios XLE, 3 units of Yaris Cross Hybrid, and 2 units of Toyota Coaster.
