It’s finally and officially here!

Revealed to the world a little over two years ago, the all-new Nissan Z, known to some as the 400Z, has finally been officially launched here in the Philippines alongside the GT-R. Now in its seventh (7th) generation, the Z is the latest product under the Z-car line of Nissan which dates back to 1969.

In terms of looks, the all-new Z is based on the Z Proto concept presented in 2020. Its exterior design communicates respect to its lineage with its long hood and short deck. The overall design theme for the exterior and interior of the new Z follows “tradition with modern technology.” The LED headlights take inspiration from the Japan-exclusive Fairlady 240ZG of the 70’s while the LED taillights take inspiration from the Z32 300ZX.

Exterior features include RAYS forged alloy wheels (19” x 9.5” / 255/40 R19 front, 19” x 10” / 275/35 R19 rear), 4-piston 14-inch ventilated front disc brakes, 2-piston 13.8-inch rear disc brakes, full LED headlights, rear spoiler, and dual exhaust finishers.

Available exterior color options are Ikazuchi Yellow, Passion Red, Seiran Blue, Everest White, Boulder Grey Pearl, and Black Diamond Pearl. All colors also come matched with a black roof.

Inside, the all-new Z also combines retro design cues from older-generation Z cars with modern technology. In fact, some bits and pieces have been reused from the 350Z and 370Z such as the climate control dials, door handles, and door-mounted aircon vents. Just like previous-generation Z’s, the center-stack also gets a set of three gauge clusters for boost, turbo fan speed, and battery voltage.

Features here include an 8-inch Nissan Advanced touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 8-speaker Bose premium audio system with dual subwoofers, 12.3-inch customizable digital driver’s instrument cluster, leather and synthetic suede-wrapped sport seats, synthetic suede door trim, and leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Powering the all-new Nissan Z is a 3.0-liter VR30DDTT direct-injected twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 400 horsepower (383 hp on Nissan’s spec sheet) and 474 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission with EXEDY high-performance clutch, or a 9-speed automatic transmission. Both come with rev-matching and send power to the rear wheels.

In terms of safety, the 2024 Nissan Z gets the full suite of Nissan Intelligent Mobility. This gives it intelligent (adaptive) cruise control (ICC), forward collision warning, intelligent emergency braking, lane departure alert, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, and high beam assist.

Both the manual and automatic variants of the 2024 Nissan Z are priced at Php 3,888,000.
