Volvo PH to showcase XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge at 2024 EV Summit
While everyone’s attention is focused on the new models that will be launching or previewed at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show (like this and this) which is happening on October 24-27, there’s also some to see at the 2024 Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS) which is happening on October 24-26.
Volvo Philippines, now under the distributorship of Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), has announced that they will be showcasing their XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge fully-electric crossover at the three-day EV-focused motor show.
The Swedish luxury automaker launched those two crossovers here in the Philippines under their previous distributor last year as their first fully-electric models in the market after initially introducing their mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models.
Powering both the XC40 Recharge and the C40 Recharge is Volvo’s twin-motor electric powertrain that sends 408 horsepower and 660 Nm of torque to all four wheels. The XC40 Recharge can drive for up to 537 kilometers, while the C40 Recharge can drive for up to 549 kilometers, on a single charge. 200 kW DC fast charging allows the vehicle to charge from 10% to 80% in just 27 minutes.

Again, the 2024 Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit will be held this coming October 24 to 26 (Thursday to Saturday). Its venue will be the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City so it won’t be too far from the 9th Philippine International Motor Show at the nearby World Trade Center Metro Manila.
