Nissan PH to conduct service campaign for Kicks aircon issue
The Nissan Kicks, with its e-POWER technology, is currently one of the most popular electrified vehicles available in our market today. More than several owners however have experienced issues with its airconditioning system and Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) is finally taking action.
We first reported about the Nissan Kicks airconditioning issue back in January this year. This issue involves the vehicle’s airconditioning system simply stopping from blowing cold air. Owners, upon checking with authorized Nissan service centers, have discovered that the vehicle’s airconditioning compressors may fail. NPI then responded acknowledging the problem and also reached out to owners of affected units. Now, we have some more progress.
NPI has finally identified the root cause of the issue with the Kicks’ compressor. A software and component of the system causes the cooling issues. Thankfully, these do not affect the drivability and safety of the vehicle.
NPI will also conduct a service campaign or recall for the Kicks e-POWER, expected to begin by June this year. The company will soon be reaching out to owners of affected units and will also make announcements regarding this campaign.
At the same time, due to the limited availability of the affected parts, NPI will be prioritizing owners who are already currently experiencing the cooling issues in their Nissan Kicks units. Also, delivery of brand-new units to customers who have placed reservations may also be delayed due to the issue.

It’s great to hear that the company is being proactive when it comes to this issue involving one of their hottest selling vehicles. Hopefully it is fully-resolved soon and we can see more of the Nissan Kicks on Philippine roads.
