The 2021 Maxus D60 will be launched on February 5

After several teasers on their social media pages, Maxus Philippines has finally announced an official launch date for their latest model, the 2021 Maxus D60.

The launch will be held online on February 5, 2021, Tuesday, and is the second virtual launch to be held by the brand after the successful launch of its G50 MPV a few months ago.

Not much details is made public yet but it is confirmed that the all-new Maxus D60 will come available in two variants, one with a capacity of 5 people and another with 7. It is also confirmed to share its powertrain with the G50, a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that produces 167 hp and 250 Nm of torque, paired to a dual-clutch transmission.

Maxus Philippines also already revealed some equipment which should include full LED split matrix headlights and LED diamond taillights.

The 2021 Maxus D60 is set to compete in the compact crossover segment with models such as the Ford Territory and upcoming Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, and even with more mainstream models such as the Honda CR-V. Also considering its size, it may compete as well in the larger midsize crossover SUV segment with the Chery Tiggo 8 and Geely Okavango.
