The final leg of the TGR Philippine Cup has been postponed due to the weather
If you were anticipating the conclusion of the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup at the Clark International Speedway this weekend (September 12), well, it looks like you’ll have to wait a little bit longer, as Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) and Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippines have postponed the final race due to the recent and forecasted weather and current conditions along NLEX.
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, the weather over the past few weeks has been quite severe, leading to multiple areas within Central Luzon getting flooded, including the North Luzon Expressway.
This led to motorists becoming stranded for hours, and the NLEX-San Simon area still experiencing flooding as of the time of writing. Obviously, safety is a primary concern for everyone involved and for the guests, so until then, TMP has not announced a final date for the final race weekend of this season.

Regardless, it will still be worth the wait, as the final leg of the season could potentially preview a brand-new race series that might be using the GR 86 as its latest one-make race car. This would make it one heck of a season with multiple firsts, such as switching over to biofuels, and the recent race at the Batangas Racing Circuit.
