The Lexus LFA is back… as a full-electric concept car

Alongside yesterday’s big news about the GR GT and GR GT3, a third model was shown off to the world (albeit virtually), and this one is very familiar. This is the Lexus LFA Concept, a revival of the iconic LFA nameplate for the next generation of sports cars.

And actually, nothing really much has changed from the Lexus Sport Concept, this car’s former name. Yes, this car was reannounced with a new name, and some partial specifications like its dimensions: 4,690mm long, 2,040mm wide, and 1,195mm tall with a 2,725mm wheelbase.

Also, being based on the GR GT, it retains most of its underpinnings, like the lightweight all-aluminum body frame, the low center of gravity, and ideal driving position. Other than that, we also get a quick peek at the interior, which is sleeker and more driver-focused, complete with the yoke-style tiller that was first seen in the Lexus RZ.

Other than that, it’s still the same, unchanged, sleek, sexy design with futuristic lines, a much softer and organic take on the GR GT’s “aerodynamics first” approach on design. However, unlike the Toyota siblings, the Lexus LFA Concept does not have a release date pegged for this car, so a lot of things could change.
