The Mitsubishi Destinator might come to PH sooner than we think

The Mitsubishi Destinator is getting a lot of attention, not only in Indonesia where it was revealed just last month, but the entire globe. It makes sense as it’s been a while since the Japanese automaker had an affordable seven-seater crossover in the region.
Well it looks like it may be coming to the Philippines sooner than later as Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has officially begun teasing the much-awaited model on their social media pages.

Nothing has been confirmed as the teaser posted simply showed the rear badging of the vehicle, along with the following caption:
“The Mitsubishi DESTINATOR is the latest 7-seater family SUV from Mitsubishi Motors.
The name “DESTINATOR” reflects a vehicle built to be your family’s getaway to extraordinary destinations and memorable experiences. Equipped for confidence, styled for prestige, and designed for comfort—it’s another milestone for Mitsubishi Motors’ next generation of vehicles.”
Once and if launched here, the Destinator will sit above the Xforce subcompact crossover it’s based on, and below the very popular Triton pickup-based Montero Sport which is also expected to receive a new generation soon. You can read more about the Destinator here.
A launch date has not been announced, but we can surely expect a big one in the coming months. MMPC after all is currently very busy, preparing for the launch of the refreshed Xpander and Xpander Cross MPV siblings on August 29.
