The Nissan Juke goes back to its funky roots, and is now all-electric

Remember the Nissan Juke? The funky crossover was available in the Philippines for a few years before its spot was taken over by the Nissan Kicks e-Power. It was also one heavily criticized vehicle, no thanks to its unique and weird design. The second generation then came with a more streamlined and subtle appearance, but things are going back to where they were before.
Nissan has officially unveiled the third generation of the subcompact crossover at its Vision event held in Japan, and two things are worth mentioning. First, it has gone back to its roots with a funky exterior once more, and unsurprisingly, it’s now fully electric.

Again, it has gone back to its roots, wearing once again a very funky looking exterior with plenty of angles and polygons, based on the Hyper Punk concept which we first saw unveiled at the Japan Mobility Show 2023. Making a comeback to the Juke is a split headlight design with a V-shaped light bar on top, and a pair of hexagonal headlights.

Showing a lot of expression is its two-tone exterior paint job and polygonal alloy wheel design which is similar to what we are now seeing in many other Nissan products, along with large plastic body cladding. Flushed door handles can be seen on the front door, while the rear doors retain the door handles hidden on the C-pillar.
Its interior has not yet been revealed, along with its powertrain which again will now be fully electric. What we do know is that this will be built on Nissan’s Common Module Family-EV (CMF-EV) platform which also underpins the likes of the Nissan Micra, Renault 5 E-Tech, Nissan Ariya, and Nissan Leaf.

The all-new third generation Nissan Juke will go on sale in Europe starting next year. While it is unlikely to see the light of day again in the Philippines as it’s designed for the European market, do you want Nissan to expand the Juke’s availability to the global market once again?
