XPeng PH has opened pre-orders for the X9 MPV; here are the initial specs
The XPeng brand hasn’t formally launched in the Philippines just yet, with its official launch taking place this September, but they’re already looking to attract customers for their flagship X9 MPV, which is now open for pre-orders for Php 25,000.
The final pricing, warranty coverage, and delivery details will be announced at the upcoming launch, but those who take advantage of the pre-orders will be getting Php 10,000 in EV charging credits, alongside an XPeng First Circle Gift Set. But aside from this, XPeng Philippines has also revealed a handful of specifications for the MPV.
For one, this will be a pure battery electric vehicle, producing 319 horsepower and 450Nm of torque from its front-mounted electric motor, while it’s mated to a 110kWh NCM battery, allowing it to drive up to 615km (WLTP) on a single charge. It can be juiced up at speeds of up to 542kW thanks to its 800V architecture, taking it from 10 to 80% in around 12 minutes. It also supports 11kW AC charging and 6kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capabilities.
It will also have active rear-wheel steering that allows it to have a minimum turning radius of 5.4 meters, similar to a Toyota Corolla Cross, which is a compact crossover, rather than this seven-seater MPV that measures 5,316mm long, 1,998mm wide, 1,785mm tall, and an extra long 3,160mm wheelbase.
It also gets a dual-chamber air suspension system, allowing the ground clearance to be adjusted from 100 to 190mm, allowing for easier passenger entry or to go up if additional ground clearance is needed.
The X9 also has a futuristic “Starship”-inspired exterior with sharp angular lines and a long silhouette that is also very aerodynamic, with a drag coefficient of 0.236, but the interior boasts a lot of premium touches, too.
There’s full-grain Nappa leather across all the seats, with incredibly adjustable seats for the first two rows (12-way for first, 14-way for second), alongside heating, ventilation, memory, and massage functions, and powered leg support for the second row for a zero-gravity seating position.
It also has a novel windless surround climate system, directing gentle airflow through more than 6,000 micro air outlets across the second and third row. There are folding tray tables, wireless charging, powered soft-close front doors, and a refrigerator that can act as both a heater and cooler when needed.
The tech suite is handled by the XMART OS, running off a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chipset, which features your usual functionality like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, over-the-air updates, and more. You can interact with it via a 17.3-inch infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, a 21-inch heads-up display, a 21.4-inch rear screen, and sound is piped through a 27-speaker XOPERA audio system.
The advanced driver assistance system suite called XPILOT ASSIST is augmented by the AI Turing chip, three mmWave radars, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and 12 cameras for constant monitoring, which allows for additional capabilities like enhanced automatic parking, remote parking, and remote vehicle summon.
