Astara PH appoints JAC Motors PH brand head

About two months ago, Astara Philippines announced that it added to its growing local portfolio the distribution of passenger vehicles for the Chinese automaker JAC Motors. This time, they’ve announced who will be overseeing the company’s local operations.
Astara Philippines has appointed Tonette Lee, a seasoned local automotive industry executive, as the brand head of JAC Motors Philippines. This was effective March 22, 2024.
‘Ms. T’, as some industry people call her, will oversee JAC Motors Philippines’ business operation strategies and brand initiatives for the local market. Her appointment is also very timely as the brand is being prepared to launch at next week’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

Her leadership experience in various industries brings a wealth of fresh perspectives to the table, which will be vital in driving the success of JAC in the Philippines. Her expertise and passion for the motoring industry make her the ideal leader to spearhead the brand’s launch and take the JAC brand to greater heights,” said Astara Philippines Managing Director Raoul Picello.
Prior to her appointment to the position, Lee was already part of the local automotive industry for over three decades, working for brands such as Nissan, Ford, and most recently as the marketing and sales director for Luxuriant Automotive Group, Inc., the official distributor of the GWM brand which launched locally last year.
