Ford Philippines isn’t taking things slowly as they have just introduced the much-awaited next generation versions of its very popular Ranger pickup truck and its SUV sibling, the Everest, side-by-side.

Still based on the previous generation’s T6 platform, the 2023 Ford Ranger and Everest wear the latest in the blue oval’s design language, first seen in the F-150 full-size pick-up truck and Maverick compact unibody pickup. Unsurprisingly, both the Ranger and Everest share similar design cues inside and out.

For each model’s variant lineup, the 2023 Ford Ranger is available with eight variant options starting with the entry-level 2.0 XL 4×4 M/T, followed by the 2.0 XLS 4×2 M/T and A/T, 2.0 XLT 4×2 A/T, new 2.0 Sport 4×2 and 4×4 A/T, 2.0 Wildtrak 4×2 A/T, and tops-out with the 2.0 Bi-Turbo Wildtrak 4×4 A/T.

Meanwhile, the 2023 Ford Everest is available with five variants starting with the entry-level 2.0 Trend A/T, followed by a new 2.0 Limited 4×2 A/T, then the 2.0 Sport 4×2 A/T, 2.0 Titanium+ 4×2 A/T, and topping-out with the 2.0 Bi-Turbo 4×4 A/T.

In front, both feature the brand’s signature C-clamp headlights with a large grille giving them a tougher and more muscular appearance. Of course, they ride on a new set of alloy wheels depending on the variant. For the rear, Ford has given the Ranger and Everest a more rugged and elegant look, respectively.

Inside, both the Ranger and Everest feature similar cabin designs. For these new models, the interior is more modern and tech-filled than before. All get a large portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system using Ford’s SYNC 4A interface. Cabin ergonomics have also been improved.

Under the hood of the all-new Ford Ranger and Everest are different versions of the company’s 2.0-liter EcoBlue turbodiesel powertrain. Depending on the model and variant, it would produce 170 hp and 405 Nm, paired to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, or 210 hp and 500 Nm (Bi-turbo) paired to a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

For safety, top-spec variants get Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 suite of advanced driver-assist technology. This consists of Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering, Auto High-Beam Headlights, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping System, Reverse Brake Assist, Evasive Steer Assist, 360-degree Camera, and Blind Spot Monitoring System with Cross Traffic Alert. Exclusive for the Everest is .
