Next-gen Ford Ranger spotted in PH
Are you one of those waiting for the all-new next generation of the Ford Ranger to arrive on Philippine shores? Us too and it looks like we won’t have to wait too long as units of the much-awaited pick-up truck have already been spotted on local roads.
In a photo we saw posted on the Ford Everest Club Philippines Facebook group, two vehicle transporters were seen carrying around four units each of the all-new Ford Ranger. We’re assuming the photo was taken in the Santo Tomas, Batangas exit of STAR Tollway, near the vehicle yard where Ford Philippines stores its vehicles.
Most visible in the image is the Wildtrak 4×4 which is the top-end trim of the Ranger lineup without counting the high performance Raptor. Based on the photo, it’s pretty much the same as what we’ve seen in photos and videos from overseas markets.
Ford Philippines has not kept the upcoming launch of the all-new Ford Ranger a secret. In fact, for those who don’t know, they have already dedicated a page on its website for it. Also, during the recent 21st edition of the Henry Ford Awards, Mike Breen, FGP’s Managing Director, announced that the much awaited pick-up truck will be launching in the country by the third quarter of this year. That could be anytime from July to September.
Anyway, we do have some features confirmed already, at least for the Wildtrak 4×4. These include matrix LED headlights, Boulder Grey 18-inch alloy wheels, 8-inch digital instrument cluster, 12-inch touchscreen SYNC4 infotainment system, and Ebony Black leather interior with Cyber Orange stitching.
Now that we know that units of the all-new Ford Ranger Wildtrak are now in the country, are you more excited?
