Ford PH ends 2022 with almost 25,000 units sold
Ford Philippines has once again ended another year as one of the Filipino market’s favorite brands with its strong retail performance for 2022. The blue oval closed the previous year with sales growth of 24%, or equivalent to 24,710 units led by its top 3 best-sellers – the Ford Ranger pickup truck, its Everest SUV sibling, and the Territory compact crossover.
“It was a milestone year for Ford Philippines in 2022 with the launch of our next-generation Ford Ranger and Everest and the continued success of our Ford Territory, including a number of customer engagement initiatives that allowed us to enhance the Ford purchase and ownership experience,” says Mike Breen, managing director of Ford Philippines. “We thank our dealers for their partnership, our employees for their passion and dedication to serve, and our customers for their trust and confidence on Ford.”
The Ford Ranger gets the crown for being the top-selling Ford model last year with 11,396 units sold, also making it the second best-selling model in the local pickup truck segment. The Ford Everest on the other hand saw a total sales of 3,534 units. Both the Ford Ranger and Everest received new generations last year, launched in July.
The Ford Territory remains a crowd favorite as it, for the third consecutive year, remained the country’s best-selling compact crossover in 2022. Full-year sales increased by 35% with 9,269 units and a strong market share of 51%. It even reached its 15,000th unit sales milestone in September last year.
On a monthly retail performance for the year, Ford Philippines posted its best retail sales in December with 3,260 units sold, a 76% increase compared to the same period in 2021, highly driven by the sales of the new Ranger at 1,566 units, also its highest retail performance since its launch in July.
