Mitsubishi Motors PH celebrates 100,000 Strada units sold, releases limited edition GLS S-Limited variant
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) is celebrating a major sales milestone, selling over 100,000 units of its Strada pickup truck in the local market. With that, they’re releasing a limited edition variant. Say hello to the Mitsubishi Strada GLS S-Limited which will only have 75 units sold across the archipelago.
Sitting in between the mid-grade Strada GLS and Strada Athlete, the Strada GLS S-Limited gets a handful of unique features making it special compared to other variants.
The most obvious stuff are on the exterior which gets “01 Design” silver and red decals. It also gets LED headlights and daytime running lights, LED taillights; and red accents on the front bumper, side steps, and gloss black rear bumper. Its exterior is also exclusively available painted in White Diamond Pearl.
A couple of changes can also be found inside such as its leather seats with red stitching, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat; as well as red stitching on the leather door trim, leather-wrapped handbrake lever, leather-wrapped gear shift knob, and leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Under its hood remains the familiar 2.4-liter 4N15 Inline 4-cylinder MIVEC turbodiesel engine that produces 181 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
“We are very excited to achieve yet another milestone for Mitsubishi Motors in the Philippines. This one, like the S-limited, is a special one. This is a milestone that wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our loyal customers. Since offering the Mitsubishi Pick-up 32 years ago, there have been more than 100,000 customers who have appreciated the Strada,” said MMPC President and CEO Mr. Takeshi Hara.
“Having been a brand that’s dedicated to listen and deliver to the needs of Filipinos, we are more than grateful for the support and for keeping Mitsubishi Motors part of their lives. Modern, tough, reliable, like this capable pick-up, is what the brand stands for,” he added.
The Mitsubishi Strada GLS S-Limited is again limited to 75 units nationwide, and is priced at Php 1,496,000.
