ICYMI: Refreshed Subaru Evoltis launched in PH during MIAS 2023

It may not be the most popular model from Subaru here in the Philippines but it’s here! Motor Image Pilipinas, the official distributor of the Subaru brand in the local market has launched the refreshed version of its entry into the midsize crossover SUV segment, the Evoltis.

Known as the Ascent in the North American market, the Evoltis competes, at least locally, with the likes of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, GAC GS8, and Ford Explorer. For this update, it gets updated exterior design cues and more technology to catch up with other Subaru models.

Starting with the exterior changes, this new Evoltis gets a new set of LED headlights and a larger front grille, giving it a sharper appearance akin to that of the smaller Forester. The bumper has also been redesigned for a more rugged and sporty appearance. The side then features a new set of alloy wheels while the taillights also get a new C-shaped design.

As for its interior, the most obvious change is the new infotainment system. Replacing the pre-refresh version’s 8-inch screen is a new portrait-oriented 11.6-inch screen similar to what we can find on the Outback. This new screen features pretty much everything you need to control in the vehicle, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Under the hood of the refreshed Subaru Evoltis remains the same 2.4-liter Flat-4 turbocharged Boxer engine that produces 260 horsepower and 375 Nm of torque, paired to Subaru’s Lineartronic CVT. Of course, it comes standard with Subaru’s EyeSight safety technology as well.

The 2023 Subaru Evoltis 2.4 Touring EyeSight is now available at all authorized Subaru dealerships nationwide with a suggested retail price of Php 3,780,000.
