Honda Brio gets a sporty refresh, when will it come to PH?
It’s been nearly five years since Honda first unveiled the current second generation Brio small hatchback in Indonesia, and around four since it arrived here in the Philippines. Now, it finally gets an update in Indonesia that should keep it fresh, especially with the reveal and impending local launch of the all-new Toyota Wigo, one of its main competitors.
So what’s new? First is the new and larger front grille which comes with a new mesh pattern for lower variants, and a similar pattern to the HR-V’s grille for the RS. The bumper is also sportier with new fog lights on the RS. For wheels, the lower variant gets new wheel designs, while the RS gets the same wheels but blacked-out.
Not much has changed on the inside as Honda has only given this push button start, and a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Under the hood remains the same 1.2-liter Inline 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine that produces 90 horsepower and 110 Nm of torque, paired to either a 5-speed manual transmission or CVT.
Honda Cars Philippines has not yet announced or given any hints as to when the refreshed Brio will arrive in our market but given the fact that they source the local units if this model from Indonesia, it should not take too long.
