Ford Ranger Raptor unleashed in PH with bi-turbo diesel, priced at Php 2.339M
One of the most awaited vehicles in the Philippine automotive market is finally here! Ford Philippines has introduced the high-performance version of its very popular Ranger midsize pickup truck, the Ranger Raptor.
This comes over a year since it was first revealed for the Thai market in February 2022 and builds on the success of the previous generation Raptor, which saw the Philippines as one of its largest markets in the world.
The all-new Ford Ranger Raptor is not all aesthetics as this is a true performance truck. Underneath all its sheet metal is a long travel front and rear suspension with Watt’s Link rear, Fox high performance dampers for more capability and comfort on and off-road, trail control which is like a cruise control for off-road driving,
Given our market’s love for diesels, Ford Philippines has given the local-spec Ranger Raptor the familiar 2.0-liter Inline 4-cylinder EcoBlue bi-turbo diesel engine that also powers the Ranger Wildtrak 4×4, and Everest Titanium 4×4. It still produces the same 213 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, paired to a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. Other markets get the option of a more powerful 3.0 twin turbo EcoBoost V6.
As for its looks, the Ranger Raptor is set apart from the standard Ranger by its beefier flared wheel arches, signature Raptor F-O-R-D front grille, more rugged front and rear bumpers, larger side steps, and 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires.
The interior also has a handful of differences, aimed at making the driving experience better. The steering wheel features a thicker rim with an on-center marker and Raptor logo. It also gets sport seats with a leather and suede combination material, and Code Orange interior accents. Other standard equipment are a 12.4-inch digital instrument cluster, 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC 4A and dedicated off-road display, electronic gear shifter, and a wireless phone charger.
And for safety, Ford Philippines has fully-loaded the Ranger Raptor with an Adjustable Speed Limiter, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Auto High Beam, Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Pre-Collision Assist, Dynamic Brake Support, Distance Alert/Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Warning, Evasive Steering Assist, Post-Impact Braking, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Aid, Driver Alert System, Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert and Braking, Reverse Braking Assist, and Active Park Assist 2.0.
Finally, pricing. The second generation Ford Ranger Raptor is priced at Php 2,339,000. It is also now available at all authorized Ford dealerships nationwide. Ford Philippines even took the opportunity to turn-over at the launch to the first 20 Ranger Raptor owners their brand-new trucks.
With all that, we won’t be surprised to see this truck become a top-seller in the Philippines once again.
