Chery Auto PH appoints new managing director

There is a new leader at the helm of Chery Auto Philippines. The Chinese automaker, under the distributorship of United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI), has named its new managing director.

Bringing with him more than 30 years of experience working in the automotive industry, Chery Auto Philippines announced Froilan Dytianquin as one of its new top executives. The announcement of his appointment coincided with the launch of the new Chery Tiggo 5X Pro Hybrid and Tiggo 7 Pro Hybrid variants.

Before joining Chery Auto Philippines, Dytianquin joined Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) in 1992, holding various positions until he retired as First Vice President after 26 years in the company. He rejoined the industry in 2019 as the General Manager for Sales and Marketing at Geely Philippines, another Chinese brand, which saw itself grow tremendously in the country.

“I plan to duplicate the same success story here with Chery. Under my leadership, I aim to focus on managing dealer engagement, rapid network expansion, proper product engagement, and promotions. We will also continue to build on Chery Auto Philippines’ strength which is aftersales as you know, Chery has been offering an industry-leading warranty which signifies Chery’s confidence in its vehicles,” said new Chery Auto Philippines Managing Director Froilan Dytianquin.

In his new role as managing director, Dytianquin will be helping lead the Chery brand as it aggressively grows its presence in the local market. 

“Tonight, Chery Auto Philippines begins a new era of change. We are embarking on a serious path in keeping the needs of our past, present, and future customers at the core of everything we do. With him (Mr. Dytianquin) taking the helm of the Chery brand as its leader, I am confident that Chery Auto Philippines is in good hands,” said Chery Auto Philippines and UAAGI Chairman Rommel L. Sytin.  

Aside from Dytianquin, Chery Auto Philippines is also adding new seasoned automotive industry people to its management team, who will offer fresh perspectives and innovative strategies for the company to continuously move forward.
