Hyundai Tucson receives a refresh for 2024

The current generation Hyundai Tucson was first unveiled in 2020, and entered the Philippine market just last year. Now at three years old, it’s the perfect time for it to receive an update and that’s what Hyundai just did.

The Korean automaker just unveiled the facelifted version of its compact crossover offering ahead of its debut set for early next year. It gets a handful of changes on the outside as well as huge changes inside which we’ll go through one-by-one.

First on the outside, the 2024 Tucson retains Hyundai’s signature Parametric Dynamics design language but with revamped details such as a bolder and more rectangular shape for the front grille mixed with more angular lines, together with the Parametric Jewel daytime running lights. The bumpers have also been slightly revised to give the vehicle a wider stance. Finally, new alloy wheel designs are present.

The biggest bulk of the changes can be found inside where the 2024 Hyundai Tucson gets a completely new dashboard, taking cues from their other recent products such as the Kona and Sonata, and the IONIQ EV line. Straight lines now dominate the dashboard with wraparound-style air vents, as well as the large dual-screen setup housed in a single panel, giving a more modern appearance.

Storage space has also been improved with a large spot on the dashboard itself, as well as underneath the floating center console. You’ll also notice that Hyundai has given it a column-mounted electronic gear selector, taking away the former push-button type selector.

Hyundai has not given any information as to any changes that can be found under the hood, as well as in the safety department. We’ll probably get those once it’s officially launched in other markets.

It will also probably take some time before this facelifted Hyundai Tucson arrives in the Philippine market, given that it was only launched last year. Despite that, with it being one of Hyundai Motor Philippines’ bestsellers, it will surely come.
