Isuzu mu-X gets 360 cam, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for 2024
When Isuzu Philippines (IPC) launched the current generation mu-X in 2021, it came with loads of standard equipment which easily made it one of the best-equipped models in the highly popular midsize pickup-based SUV segment.
No car is perfect though and despite it being very well-equipped, it was still missing a couple of features that came as standard on its rivals. This also remained even if it was given a refresh last year. Well now, IPC has rectified that and has given the mu-X some much needed features to help it catch-up with its rivals.
What exactly is new? The 2024 Isuzu mu-X finally can be had with a 360-degree around-view monitor. Previously, all variants came standard only with a reverse camera while all its rivals had the said full 360-degree camera on higher-end variants. In addition, the new cameras also come with a digital video recorder (DVR) feature. The DVR can record for up to 11 hours with a 64GB micro SD card, and also removes the need to purchase a separate dashboard camera (dashcam).
Another welcome addition is wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity which eliminates the need to connect your smartphone to the vehicle with a charging cable. Also paired with this is a new wireless mobile phone charger.
Other standard equipment, powertrain options, and Isuzu’s suite of advanced driver-assist systems remain the same. You can read all about that here.
You’re probably wondering how much these upgrades cost. Well the Isuzu mu-X lineup for 2024 is priced as follows:
