The Ford Mustang is probably one of the most well-known vehicle nameplates in the world, even outside the automotive industry. It has been in production since 1964, making it the longest-running Ford nameplate. For our market, the 2024 Ford Mustang is available in two variants—the 2.3 Ecoboost Premium Fastback and the 5.0 GT Premium Fastback.

As you can probably already tell from the variant names, the all-new Ford Mustang still comes with two engine as before. The first is a 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbocharged Inline 4-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 319 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque, mated to a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

Like before, you can choose between a 2.7L EcoBoost Inline-4 or a 5.0 V8.

For those who want the extra grunt and the full experience of driving a muscle car, the GT Premium Fastback variant gets a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 gasoline engine that makes 493 horsepower and 567 Nm of torque. Like the Ecoboost, it’s also mated to a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

Regardless of variant, driving the all-new Mustang will be very customizable with different drive modes—Normal, Sport, Slippery, Custom, Track, and Drag Strip. Both variants also come with Ford’s MagneRide Damping System matched with Brembo Brakes for better stopping power.

As for its design, the seventh generation Ford Mustang does not stray far from the outgoing version, still wearing a tough-looking exterior with signature elements around. Inside, it has been heavily modernized, taking up a more traditional sedan-like interior unlike previous generations. Most noticeable here is the large dual-screen setup and the use of simpler lines.

Safety is not lacking as well with a full suite of advanced driver-assist systems under Ford’s Co-Pilot360 technology. This is composed of Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with Cross Traffic Alert and Braking, Auto High Beam Headlights, Post Impact Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Centering Assist, Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and Evasive Steer Assist.

Other tech includes connectivity to the FordPass mobile app. This allows the owner to control certain aspects of the vehicle from the comfort of their mobile phone. The app also lets the owner see the vehicle’s status and current location.
