The Outlander is the next Mitsubishi crossover to get a Yamaha audio system

When Mitsubishi Motors unveiled the Xforce subcompact crossover in Indonesia last year, one of its main highlights was its Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium audio system. That feature made it to the Philippine-spec version when it was launched earlier this year, and we have to say that it is among the best in the industry.

As expected, the Japanese automaker is now putting this piece of audio system perfection in other models, starting with the updated Outlander midsize crossover which will be introduced in North America next year. 

For 2025, all Outlander variants in the United States will get a Yamaha audio system as standard. We’re not sure if it will be the same Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium-branded one as on the Xforce, but they’ll surely be closely related. It will also be the first vehicle audio system designed by Yamaha for a North American vehicle.

In addition, a handful of changes have also been made to the Outlander’s interior starting with a new pink color scheme, matched with a new leather pattern for the seats and door panels. Also noticeable is a new infotainment system with a larger screen and different button layout. 

The center console has also been reworked with a new layout through a repositioned electronic parking brake and cupholders.

Mitsubishi has not shown the exterior yet but we won’t be surprised if it receives some changes too. We won’t have to wait too long though as these updates will fully be revealed on February 24, 2025.

As for our market, we’re still waiting for Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation to launch this. The model has been previewed a handful of times, and executives cruise around between work and home using it. If ever, we’ll probably see these updates on the local version if it ever does launch.
