Mitsubishi Xforce Hybrid to have global reveal on March 20

The Mitsubishi Xforce will finally be getting an electrified powertrain.

When Mitsubishi Motors Philippines launched the Xforce subcompact crossover to our market last year, it gave buyers a stylish and feature-packed modern crossover. Its engine left a lot to be desired though with buyers asking for a turbocharged or hybrid option.

There were already mumblings about an electrified Xforce coming and that’s what’s set to be revealed on March 20 in Thailand.

Given the timing, it seems right on time for a public debut at the upcoming 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show as well which will be happening from March 24-April 6, 2025. We’ll be making some coverage there so we’ll surely show you if we catch it.

Not much is known yet about the upcoming reveal but it’s safe to assume that it will get the same powertrain as the Xpander e:Motion. That’s a 1.6-liter 4A92 Inline 4-cylinder DOHC MIVEC gasoline engine with an electric motor and lithium-ion battery. This produces a respectable total of 116 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque mated to an e-CVT.

Once revealed, we can expect Mitsubishi Motors Philippines to introduce the electrified Xforce in our market as well. After all, at the crossover’s current prices, they’ll surely need some form of electrification to compete with rivals such as the Toyota Corolla Cross and Honda HR-V.
