Auto Shanghai 2025 | The Souo S2000 is GWM’s Honda Gold Wing

How does a 2.0-liter flat-eight engine sound? Interesting? Well even more so once you realize that it’s what powers the Souo S2000, the first motorcycle model of Chinese automaker GWM under their Souo sub-brand.

And yes, you get all that goodness from a motorcycle which we think is quite a unique proposition especially as it’s the only one of its kind in the world. 

Oh and by the way, if you haven’t read the title, this is aiming for the likes of the Honda Gold Wing which is one of the most recognized touring bikes in the global market.

Detailed specs? The Souo S2000 is powered by a 2.0-liter horizontally-opposed flat-eight engine that makes 152 horsepower, mated to an eight-speed DCT. Top speed goes to as much as 210kph.

Its look is dubbed as the Chinese Awakening Lion with its wraparound headlights, with the overall stance resembling a leaping lion. 

Features include LED lighting, a 12.3-inch touchscreen display that is paired to an eight-speaker audio system, as well as heated hand grips and seats, and a whole lot of chrome.

Considering that GWM Philippines has brought into our market nearly every sub-brand they have, should they try the two-wheeled market with the Souo S2000?
