Geely Okavango gets a little update for 2025 with new Elite version, priced at Php 1.368M

Months after taking over local operations, Geely Motor Philippines (GMP) is busy (and quietly) revitalizing the brand’s local lineup, and that includes some of its more familiar nameplates. We already saw the heavily-updated Coolray and the slightly revised Emgrand, now we have the new Okavango Elite.
Launched alongside the fully electric EX5, the Okavango Elite brings an update to the once very popular mid-size seven-seater SUV nameplate.

It is also now the sole variant, priced at Php 1,368,000 which is quite the drop compared to the previous versions’ price range of Php 1,523,000 to Php 1,765,000. This is thanks to it being recognized by the Department of Energy (DOE) and Land Transportation Office (LTO) as a hybrid vehicle despite being a mild-hybrid.

So the changes…well, not much actually. It comes with a new front grille with vertical slats, the seats get a diamond-stitch pattern, and the instrument cluster has been downgraded to an analog gauge setup with a 3.5-inch display in the middle.

The rest of the Okavango Elite remains the same as before such as the multi-reflector LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, tri-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, and leather seats.

That’s the same case under the hood where you can still find a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder gasoline engine paired to a 48V mild-hybrid system. Output figures remain the same at 190 horsepower and 300Nm of torque, mated to a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
With its now much more affordable price while still having a similar feature set, does the Geely Okavango Elite now sound more appealing to you? We won’t be surprised if it gets a little bit of its former shine back too.
