The Geely EX5 now comes with Apple CarPlay connectivity thanks to an update

Staying connected on the road is important these days. Thankfully, most vehicles now come with built-in phone connectivity apps such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Unfortunately, though, some still make it difficult to stay connected and aren’t equipped with such connectivity features. The Geely EX5 is…or now was one of them.
Geely Motor Philippines (GMP) has announced that in line with the brand’s global direction, it is now rolling out the first update to their first fully-electric offering in our market, and that includes the integration of Apple CarPlay connectivity.

With the new feature now available, owners who’ve received the vehicle update may now connect their Apple devices directly to the 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system and enjoy functions such as steering wheel voice control buttons and one-touch activation compatibility, enabling voice dialing, Waze and Google Maps navigation, and music control through apps such as Apple Music and Spotify.

On top of that, the update also comes with new AVAS Low-Speed Alert Optimization which provides a more distinctive warning tone with reduced volume, ensuring pedestrian safety while maintaining a quieter cabin. And while seemingly irrelevant to our market, the vehicle will now support additional languages, adding Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Polish.
These upgrades will be available on brand-new Geely EX5 units sold from now, while existing owners may bring their vehicle to any authorized Geely dealership or service center in order to get their vehicle updated.
