The electric Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon is finally in the PH for Php 13.590-M

If moneyed individuals are looking for a brand-new luxury car that also just so happens to have a green side to it, look no further than the all-new Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ Technology, which has finally landed on our shores. Colloquially known by most as the Electric G-Class, this boxy luxury EV will run you a very cool Php 13,590,000.
So what does this get you? Underneath the iconic and classic G-Class silhouette and shape lies an electric all-wheel-drive powertrain with four electric motors capable of outputting up to 579 horsepower and 1,164 Nm of torque. A 116kWh battery allows for an all-electric range of up to 473km on a single charge.

Said powertrain is very capable off-road, complete with tricks like individual torque vectoring to act like virtual differential locks and low-range gear reduction, allowing for ease of climbing even the steepest of grades (up to 35 degrees, even). Plus, with EVs being sealed from water, the wading depth is rated at 850mm.

It even does a few tricks, even if you’ve seen them on the internet. The G-Turn functionality allows the car to rotate while stationary, but it must only be done on loose gravel or slick surfaces, plus it can only do two complete turns before the system is deactivated.

To help shrink the G-Wagon’s turning radius, the G-Steering functionality uses its four motors to aid the vehicle turning in, but can only be used in low-range mode at low speeds while in Rock mode.
And for those worried about the loss of the iconic V8 soundtrack, the G-Roar gives the EV a throaty rumble that’s similar to powertrains past, but the Acoustic Vehicle Alert System helps pedestrians and cyclists stay alert and aware of the silent SUV cruising near them.

You’re coddled by tech and luxury inside, complete with the finest leather and interior trimmings, two 12.3-inch displays running the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) software with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Burmester 3D surround sound system, and more.

Furthermore, the AMG Line package brings the G-class appearance (as the G 580 is available in a retro-futuristic appearance package in other markets), featuring a silver chrome horizontal radiator grille and bumper inserts, and 20-inch, 10-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels.
The Mercedes-Benz G 580 with EQ Technology is now available to be ordered at all Mercedes-Benz dealerships nationwide.
