BMW also had a “One More Thing” moment with the next-generation 3 Series

This one’s both expected and unexpected. Toward the end of the presentation of the all-new BMW iX3, the company also wheeled out a camouflaged prototype of the next-generation 3-Series.
Granted, we already have a very close idea of what it will look like, as the BMW iX3 looks very close to the Neue Klasse X concept, and we’ve seen the Neue Klasse concept in multiple forms, especially with the Heart of Joy concept that featured an aggressive body kit, which hints at the likes of an electric M3.
We can already expect it to share most of the things seen in the iX3 inside and underneath, but there’s one thing for sure: this will be the first ground-up electric 3-Series (not counting the China-only i3), and it will also mark a new generation for the nameplate.

Whether or not we’ll know that the model will feature all-electric, electrified internal combustion, or a pure ICE powertrain, BMW confirmed that there will be more variants to follow.
One other interesting bit is that BMW also mentioned that from 2026 onwards, every new BMW will be all-new, launching a massive total of 40 different new nameplates and updated models by 2027.
Things are going to be very busy for Munich in the next two years, so the immediate future for the brand will be very exciting.
