The Toyota Corolla Concept hints at a massive glow up for the compact sedan nameplate

The current generation Toyota Corolla is starting to age. While it still doesn’t really show, it actually first entered the market in 2018, with other versions like ours coming a few years later. Toyota is ready to give it a makeover, and that we’re gonna be seeing very soon.
The Japanese automaker has just given a sneak peek at the all-new Toyota Corolla Concept during a livestream today, as a preview of what to expect from it at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show (JMS) 2025, happening a few weeks from now, and boy that concept says a lot.
Not much was mentioned during the livestreamed announcement (which was in Japanese), but the two short looks at the Corolla concept gives us a good idea of what to expect from the thirteenth generation of one of the world’s most-loved vehicle nameplates.

It’s definitely going to be a huge redesign, with a way more futuristic appearance composed of sleek and striking lines. The lack of a front grille also suggests the availability of a fully electric variant which doesn’t come off as a surprise.
The rear goes for a more streamlined fastback shape which should up aerodynamics, and provides a sporty appearance. And since it’s 2025 right now, a light bar is present.

That’s really all we know for now, with more details expected as we inch closer to the Japan Mobility Show 2025. One thing’s for sure, this concept will be shaking up the Corolla nameplate.
