Nissan PH clarifies that the next-gen Navara is not yet due for local release

There’s a lot of hype surrounding the news of the upcoming reveal of the next-generation Nissan Navara for the Australian and New Zealand markets, happening on November 19, 2025.
And while the teasers posted by Nissan Oceania hints that the new Mitsubishi Triton-based Navara will be exclusive to their part of the globe, it seems that a lot of interested social media users, at least here in the Philippines, think that it’s coming to us soon.

As such, Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) saw the need to clarify with a statement, sent to us earlier today. The statement reads:
“Nissan Philippines is aware of public speculation regarding the launch of the All-New Nissan Navara, following recent announcements for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
While we cannot comment on future products, we would like to clarify that launches in other markets do not automatically indicate a local release, as Nissan carefully evaluates each market’s demands and conditions.
Nissan constantly studies market trends to ensure that our offerings are aligned with local preferences and customer expectations. We appreciate the enthusiasm surrounding our global product line and look forward to sharing updates at the appropriate time.”
As to how we can interpret this, there are two ways. One is that NPI simply wants to clarify that the next-generation Navara will not yet be launched in the Philippines. This is probably to let the hype die down a bit, and manage expectations in the highly competitive midsize pickup truck market.
On the other hand, this can also be interpreted as we will not be getting the Mitsubishi Triton-based Nissan Navara at all which is also a possibility.

To recap, there are currently two teasers from Nissan with regards to the Navara. The more recent one is the Australian teaser, and a previous teaser from Latin America one shows what could be another major facelift to the current D23 generation.
While nothing is clear, NPI’s statement is definitely subject to different kinds of interpretation. For now, all we can do is wait for updates on their next step for the midsize pickup truck which has been on the local market for a little over a decade.
