The next-gen Nissan Navara is undergoing extensive and rigorous testing in Australia

While signs are pointing to it not arriving in our market, and even the rest of the world, there is a lot of anticipation for what’s in store for the next generation Nissan Navara.
Scheduled to be unveiled in just a few days in Australia, the midsize pickup truck which will be based on the Mitsubishi Triton has undergone rigorous testing for the Australia and New Zealand markets.
The Japanese automaker released a video showing the next generation Navara undergoing different kinds of testing, mostly off-road. It was done in partnership with Premcar which is an Australian automotive engineering specialist, and Nissan’s partner when they produced the Navara Warrior.
Nissan says that the next generation Navara is designed specifically for the aforementioned markets. And with Australia known for being one of the largest pickup truck markets, and for having some of the harshest and variable conditions in the world, testing has been done to let the pickup truck adapt to these.

The all-new Nissan Navara will be unveiled on November 19, going on sale in Australia and New Zealand in the first half of 2026. And while signs again point to it not arriving in the Philippines in favor of another current generation facelift, there’s still a lot of excitement.
